They also tend to focus on managing the internals of the school and forget about communicating with parents and students. Schoolarix was conceived to solve all of these problems. It is a web based school management system that manages all aspects of a school. It provides a complete solution for the day to day management of a school and supports the entire school community. At the heart of the system lies the Schoolarix core modules. The core manages the most important aspects of a school i.e. students, teachers, subjects, classes etc. Schoolarix offers additional modules to manage specific areas of school activity e.g. attendance, parent participation, substitution etc.

Schoolarix improves communication throughout the school, between parents and teachers, students and teachers and also between parents. This is a fundamental difference between current school management systems and Schoolarix; the architecture of the system takes for granted the active involvement of the parents and thus has built in secure access to the system. All data is encrypted, between browser and server, all sensitive data in the database is encrypted and only authorized users can access the system.

The use of the system is free to a school but parents are required to pay a small annual fee for the use of the system.
